Diesel prices start to drop across the country for the first time in 2017 according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration. The national average dropped a total of -$0.012 down to $2.585.

The biggest drop came from the Rocky Mountains with a -$0.033 decrease to $2.538, the smallest change was in New England with a -$0.002 change to $2.675. The lowest average price per gallon comes in at $2.429 in the Gulf Coast while the highest was in California coming in at $2.937.
