Last week was the first time in 14 weeks that diesel prices increased. However, that trend did not continue this week. All regions across the United States saw a drop in prices this week. The cost of fuel in the U.S. went down an average of -$0.017. The Gulf Coast saw the largest price decrease with -$0.023, while the smallest decrease was seen in California at -$0.009.
All regions saw a decrease from this time last year with an average -$1.284 for the U.S. The lowest diesel prices this week were found again in the Gulf Coast region with an average price of $2.362. California had the highest regional diesel prices again with an average price of $2.863. These fuel prices are a part of a weekly report published by the U.S. Energy Information Administration.
