This week, all regions in the U.S., minus California, saw a decrease in diesel prices. The cost of fuel in the U.S. went down an average of -$0.033 from last week. The Midwest saw the largest price decrease with -$0.06. The West Coast region saw the smallest decrease in diesel prices by dropping a mere $0.001. California saw an increase at the pump at an average of $0.005.
All regions saw a decrease from this time last year with an average -$1.137 for the U.S. The region paying the highest price at the pump is California at an average of $2.81. The Gulf Coast Region is over fifty cents below that at an average of $2.29 per gallon of diesel. These fuel prices are a part of a weekly report published by the U.S. Energy Information Administration.
