Lower Atlantic states saw the greatest increase with prices going up $0.197 to average $2.725 a gallon, while California broke the $3 mark with an average of $3.135 following a $0.140 jump. Gulf Coast prices remain the lowest average coming in at $2.615 even with a $0.187 hike. The Rocky Mountains had the least change going up only $0.061 to $2.789.
