Diesel Prices Spiral Downward Across Nation

Diesel prices continue to spiral downward across every region in the United States. The cost of fuel in the U.S. went down an average of -$0.054. Diesel prices have been consistently dropping in the U.S. for 13 straight weeks. The West Coast, minus California, saw the largest price drop with -$0.08, while the smallest drop was seen in the Rocky Mountain region at -$0.35.

All regions saw a major decrease from this time last year with an average -$1.260 in the U.S. The lowest diesel prices this week were found in the Gulf Coast region with an average price of $2.414. California had the highest regional diesel prices again with an average price of $2.894. These fuel prices are a part of a weekly report published by the U.S. Energy Information Administration.
